Christmas - Now

At this moment I am listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach in front of the beach house we rented for the weekend at Dana Point. The sky is starting to blush lavender and pink, and it is so peaceful and beautiful here.

I am a few days late posting about Rhys as he turned 10 months a few days ago! He is gaining confidence in his walking abilities. He loves Mommy and Daddy and hates when we are out of his sight even for a second. He climbs on Everything and it makes his day when he is able to speed climb up the stairs with Mommy right behind him. He enjoys 'helping' me stretch before working out and will sidle over in front of my face and give me big slobbery kisses. Daddy is still the favorite and they are inseparable whenever Lewis is home. Rhys definitely has his own language and likes to yell loudly at people when we go to the store. He asks questions, voices dissent and tells jokes. He loves trying to eat rocks and eating blueberries. We love our happy little guy!

I was thinking this morning how amazing it is that Lewis loves his job so much. How many people are blessed with being able to provide for their family in a way that is challenging and enjoyable for them? If he has to be away from us at all during the day, I am glad that he enjoys what he does!

Lewis is a rockstar dad. Rhys idolizes him and mimics whatever he does! He is also a rockstar husband. He appreciates me and always makes time to take over with Rhys in the evening so that I can relax a little bit. I am so lucky that God threw us in each others paths and that now I have my partner in crime not just for the rest of this life, but for the rest of eternity.
